Terms and Conditions for Online Auctions

We strive to provide you with an enjoyable and efficient online auction experience. To this end, the staff of Riley Mousse Holding LLC, DBA/Corn Town Auctions asks that you carefully read the following auction terms and conditions. If you have any questions or concerns about the terms or conditions, please contact us BEFORE you bid.

This is an ONLINE ONLY AUCTION. Your internet based bid carries the same legal status as a bid in a live auction. By placing a bid you have entered into a legally binding and irrevocable contract with Corn Town Auctions to purchase a particular chattel. In fairness to our staff, buyers and sellers we will not reverse bids placed in error. Please bid carefully and review the amounts you have entered prior to submission. Please carefully guard your username and password. If you believe your bidder account has been compromised you must immediately notify Corn Town Auctions so that your account may be terminated.

PICK UP: Buyers are responsible for removal of their purchases during the scheduled removal times. Corn Town Auctions will not issue refunds due to buyer's failure to remove items at the specified removal times. After the scheduled removal, items will be considered abandoned and you will be charged a removal fee for disposal of your items. If you need alternative pick-up arrangements you must contact Corn Town Auctions prior to bidding. Alternative arrangements will require a minimum additional fee of $25.00. Alternative pick-up arrangements may not be available for all auctions.

You must present a paid in full receipt and the associated credit card at pick-up. Items will not be released without a paid in full receipt. If you are sending others to collect your items please provide them with a copy of your printed receipt along with a signed authorization for others to collect your items.

Items will be grouped together, but buyers are responsible for bringing their own packaging materials. We encourage you to be bring sturdy containers and materials for protecting fragile items. Corn Town Auctions WILL NOT have packaging materials available.

BIDDING: Please bid thoughtfully and conservatively! Item descriptions are subjective. We do our best to accurately document the condition of items and any visible defects that may exists using pictures and item descriptions. We encourage you to take advantage of the preview periods which will be posted for each auction to ascertain the condition of items for yourself prior to bidding. If you have questions about a specific item, please ask prior to bidding. Please note that some items have not been tested or may not be able to be tested. You are purchasing items AS IS WHERE IS WITH NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. Corn Town Auctions will not issue refunds due to buyer's dissatisfaction with their purchases.

BUYER'S PREMIUM: A 10% buyer's premium will be added to each purchase. If you bid $100.00 at check-out you will be charged $110.00.

SALES TAX: Sales tax will be collected on all purchases. If you are exempt from sales tax you must contact Corn Town Auctions prior to bidding to complete required forms. If you bid prior to filing a sales tax exemption we cannot exempt you from sales taxes.

PAYMENT: Accepted forms of payment include Visa or MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Credit cards will ALWAYS be charged at the end of the auction unless otherwise specified. If you require alternative payment arrangements you must contact Corn Town Auctions prior to bidding. Under no circumstances will a check be accepted for payment. You must have available balance on your credit card for your online purchases. At the conclusion of the auction you will be sent an email with a total of the items you won. .

PRE-AUTHORIZATION: A $1.00 pre-authorization amount will be applied to your auction for each auction you bid in. This charge is a pending-only charge meant to verify your credit card on file and will drop off once the auction has ended. It will not post permanently to your account.

Staff Bidding: Please note that staff bidding is allowed in this auction, any one from the staff is welcome to bid on and purchase items for the high bid.

Listing Inaccuracies: You are bidding on the described item, not the photo. Occasionally the wrong photo is displayed. Please always read the item description. If you have questions or notice an inaccuracy in the photo or item description please contact Corn Town Auctions

Unless noted, all items are sold on a no reserve basis.

Corn Town Auctions reserves the right to add or remove items from the auction, split or combine lots, add minimum bids or reserve prices, cancel, suspend, extend or reschedule an individual item and/or auction event, and make changes to the auction closing times or the inspection or removal times.

Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this contract and/or agreement, known as Terms and Conditions, or breach thereof, shall be settled by arbitration in Vermilion County, Illinois.

Liability: Corn Town Auctions and sellers(s) liability shall be limited to the refund of bidder(s) purchase price.

LIMITATIONS: The above-stated Terms and Conditions are binding. They may only be altered by expressed written confirmation from Riley Mousse Holding LLC, DBA Corn Town Auctions.

AGREEMENT: By registering with Corn Town Auctions a buyer is agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
